I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! The Easter bunny brought me an adorable little tea-pot with lots of goodies and a starbucks gift-card inside! (Yipppeee) and my soon to be hubby gave me some beautiful tulips…

(The pic was taken off of the blackberry so the quality isn’t the best)

Ethan and I spent some time with his dad’s side of the family in Lewiston, for dinner #1, and then had a second dinner at my mom’s house. Needless to say the gym is calling my name in overtime this week :)

For some reason we didn’t take a picture in our nice Easter clothes… but across the street from Ethan’s Nana’s house there’s a little farm. We went for a walk to see the goats, chickens, geese and also found HUGE tadpoles. I mean HUGE.

and no we didn’t plan to match ;)

It was a great day though, with a wonderful Church service that really captured the true meaning of the Easter season…

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in body, but made alive in Spirit… It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand- with angels, authorities & powers in submission to him. – 1 Peter 3:18, 22

His risen, he is alive and we are free! We are no longer stuck in our past, or the burdens that we carry. Because of the cross we can be healed and we do have the ability to experience the ‘yet to come’ here on earth. We do not have to walk through this life with our heads down, or feeling defeated. Jesus gave us authority over everything; no matter how small, trivial or big the situation. He was “pierced for our transgressions.” (Isaiah 53:5) he carried the cross for each and every one of us to heal our hearts, bodies, and minds.

Now that is something worth celebrating! Praise to Jesus!
